Roxboro

There were few rooms in the Roxboro home that we didn’t have a hand in creating.

For this new construction, we built cabinetry or other features for the mudroom, kitchen, bathrooms (master plus three others), office, linen closet, storage in a bedroom and laundry room. We also built a morning bar that was part of the master suite and a Murphy bed for the living room.

This project was what we call a “transitional” style — leaning heavily toward modern, but with some traditional elements. How does this play out in terms of design details? One example is that the clients decided they weren’t ready to make the leap to flat-front cabinets, going with traditional painted Shaker doors instead.

We had a custom stain created for this client that was used on the island and the range hood in the kitchen and other places in the house, including the mudroom, handrails and stairway (not pictured here).

The appliances came from SubZero and Wolf.

We also delivered on the clients’ wish for a morning bar adjacent to the master bedroom. This feature included a dishwasher, coffeemaker and undercabinet fridge.
